Accessibility

Greyhound Automotive LLC wants everyone to be able to shop for a car here, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text and stronger contrast.

What we do

• The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as its target.
• Every page works with a keyboard alone: menus, forms, the photo galleries and the chat.
• The colours of the site are checked for WCAG contrast every time it is published; a combination that fails cannot go live.
• Pictures we add to the site carry a written description, and the site cannot be published with one missing.
• Pages have proper headings, landmarks and labels, and the text can be resized in your browser without losing content.
• Forms say what is required and what went wrong, in words.

What we are still working on

Some content comes from other providers: vehicle history reports, Google reviews and maps, and payment tools. We pick providers who publish their own accessibility commitments, but their content is theirs. Vehicle photos are described by the car they show (year, make, model and trim), not by what is in the picture.
